“L’ABBRACCIO (The Emrace)” (2025)
A new film I've been working on (released May 2025) exploring themes of culture, migration, the lack of humanity, hope, and freedom, which are told
through poetry and storytelling.

“I REMEMBER” (2024)
"I Remember" is an independent experimental film that explores the impact nature has and the space it holds for humans to ground themselves.
Through a series of flashbacks, the film evokes the sensation of being immersed in a space of peace and freedom, where one reconnects with oneself
through the natural world. The narrative emphasizes the interconnectedness of natural elements and humanity, such as the juxtaposition of a tree trunk
and fingers, or sunlight filtering through leaves, mirroring the eyes. The film was shot using a Canon EOS 2000D digital camera.
“HOLDING ON” (2021)
This project looked at people’s experiences of the Holocaust, their living conditions but also the internal and emotional
struggles of those oppressed and those who disengaged with empathy and humanity in order to work in the camps.

“THE JOURNEY” (2025)
This project looked at the emotional and physical journey of an immigrant from the Ivory Coast to Italy and how there are shared internal narratives across
cultures between those who travel, and those who welcome their arrival.

“UNTITLED #1” (2024)
This project focused on the ordinary
encounters, their lifestyles, their own being,
their story. Taking place in Bute Park,
Cardiff, I spoke to people to uncover their
world, on that date, in that moment. Across
a series of dates, different lives and different
stories were captured.

Mabli Sbarro is a bilingual Anglo-Italian artist whose
multimedia work explores human connection, emotional
growth, and the complexity of interpersonal relationships.
Rooted in intuitive storytelling, her films are intimate
portraits of lived experience, shaped by collaboration and
guided by compassion.
Drawing from her own bi-cultural upbringing, Sbarro
reflects on themes of identity, belonging, and the importance
of being heard. Her work creates space for voices often
overlooked, offering moments of empathy, understanding,
and shared humanity. Through cinematic storytelling, she
fosters connection—between subject and viewer, between
each other, and within ourselves.
Her current project, based on a real-life encounter, continues
this inquiry into trust, resilience, and the transformative
power of being seen. With each film, Sbarro hopes to create a
positive impact—encouraging self-reflection, mutual care,
and a hopeful reimagining of how we relate to one another
and the world around us.
